HLBOES: First Potions Assignment

Assignment: Knit or crochet a pair of fingerless gloves to keep your hands warm during Potions classes.

Why? Our classroom is very cold and you need to keep your hands warm so that you can chop and grind ingredients. They need to be fingerless because you’ll need dexterity in your fingers during the class.

Points: Five points for starting. Ten for finishing both gloves. Five points extra credit (each) for using both knitting and corcheting OR using stranded colorwork or embroidery. Five points possible for designing your own pattern. Total of thirty points possible per student.

Partial Credit: I reserve the right to give partial credit. If you finish one glove and only have a few rows on the second glove, likely I shall give you at least some points for finishing both, but not all 10 points possible. In order for you to get credit for the pattern, you must PM me with your pattern, including materials and gauge you used. If you want credit for the knitting and crocheting, please PM me a link to the pattern you used. If you want credit at all, please post pictures of the gloves on your HANDS!

Due Date: This assignment will be due on January 24th. This gives you time to finish up your duels and work on assignments for other classes, as well as deal with life if it comes up. :)

I shall also be randomly choosing a winner from those who COMPLETE both gloves. This person will receive a little prize via owl post from me. I am warning you in advance that Prometheus (my owl) does nip at fingers.
